The building is kept clean and well maintained and overall I'm really happy. Plus the staff is super helpful and will drop everything to help right away.

submitted by Kirstin M. - |Recommended: YesI love it — Do it
response from property -Love it! Thanks!
submitted by Mercy E. - |Recommended: YesThe locations is great, The entire staff is Amazing — The apartments are reasonably priced for the square footage that you get. There is a lot of construction going on both on the grounds and in the surrounding blocks from the property. The staff is amazing especially Jordan. If you can be patient with the construction noise and dust you will not be disappointed..
response from property -Thanks for the review and patience during the construction! We ended construction last May and everything turned out great! Thanks for being a terrific resident!
submitted by Marshall L. - |Recommended: YesLove my apartment mixed review of facilities and neighbors — I've lived in one of the ground floor walk-outs for almost a year. Since I moved in, many things have changed -- a new management company, new art on the walls, new package delivery system, many more tenants. Some of these changes have improved my quality of life, others have detracted from it. Let me say first that I truly love my apartment. It's an enormous one-bedroom with 30-foot high ceilings and a private walk-out entrance. Of course, it's also among the most expensive apartments on the east side I pay more than my girlfriend, who lives in a luxury high-rise downtown , so on some level I'm getting what I pay for. The apartment construction is mid-grade, I'd say. The quality of the fixture, the layout, the materials--all fine, not the best and not the worst. But once I leave my apartment things start to go downhill. I hear my neighbors. All the time. Playing guitar. Arguing. Stomping around. Hosting parties. To be honest, it doesn't bother me that much, and I chose to live in an apartment rather than a house, so I don't hold it against them for the most. The execution is one upstairs neighbor who is a typical frat dude, either in college or just out of it, who occasionally throws parties. I once had to knock on his door at 4 am to ask him to keep it down. So it goes. Some more negatives Rowdy pool environment with lots of people playing loud music on bluetooth speakers some recent rain flooding damage the fancy coffee machine NEVER works absolutely terrible and borderline offensive murals painted in the parking garage without residents consent Some more positives Staff is always friendly and polite the grounds are well maintained the roof is lovely and quiet the only time I ever called maintenance they were prompt and efficient. All in all, a good place to live in a great location.

submitted by Robert Z. - |Recommended: YesLove the Apartment and the People but I won't Renew for next year — All in all, the location is perfect, the staff front desk and maintenance is amazing and they couldn't do more to make our stay more enjoyable. The apartment is very expensive for what it is and the overall noise that we hear late night is the bigger problem from our next door and upstairs neighbors mostly music and heavy bass is enough to turn us away from renewing for next year.
submitted by David I. - |Recommended: YesAbsolutely Love Calling ESS Home — I have been here since February 2017, and I have enjoyed every single day The staff is caring, responsive, and professional. They will make the move-in process a breeze from the tour right down to the date you claim your new home. I placed a maintenance request one late night, and the next morning they were solving my problem As for the units, you have to see it in person. I stay in a one-bedroom on the first floor with the patio facing one of the courtyards, and my living and bed room receives the perfect amount of natural lighting. Which is important to saving electricity and great for indoor plants. From the floors to the ceiling lights and fans, the materials are all exquisite. The counters are durable, yet glossy. The appliances, cabinets, and back splash come together to form a great picture worthy kitchen. One problem is noise complaints. I don't know if it's just my neighbor, but it's difficult to have people over with adequate music volume. I once even had the courtesy officer come to my door because the neighbor could hear us talking. Being so close to the Austin's night scene, you'd think it'd be a great place to host small gatherings without stress. You will love furnishing your unit as it provides many opportunities to please your inner interior design skills. The rest of the property is amazing One of the best gyms I've ever seen in a apartment complex, the pool is lively when it needs to be, but you can still go out there and enjoy a book as you soak up the sun. The location is prime for night life and people who love unique eating experiences. Tons of free parking right on the street for guests with accessible entrance points. Easy access to Downtown Austin and you can beat the traffic up to The Domain with the light rail as the station is only a block away. My verdict, if you can stay here, DO IT You won't regret it.
response from property -Thank you so much for the great review!
submitted by Savanna T. - |Recommended: YesDecent Location, Awesome Finish Outs. — I have not had any issues with the new management company. They seem to be friendly and are adding amenities that residents are asking for. The events looks fun. Overall, my apartment was awesome, the location is not as ideal as I thought it was going to be. If you like to walk to bars and restaurants on E. 6th then its great. I don't really feel to comfortable walking after dark in the area though. People need to slow down when driving in the garage, I would recommend those mirror things in the corners of the garage.
response from property -Thank you Savanna for the great review. There are even more great bars and restaurants that have gone in since then!

response from property -Thank you for the great review! Keep a look out for our new resident events! We are holding 6 additional events now until the end of 2017! Jessica Barker
submitted by Zach B. - |Recommended: YesI love living here Great location and the staff is so friendly. — Great place for someone newly moving to Austin. Was really able to connect to the community and Eastside Station is a perfect place to use as a home base for exploring.
response from property -Thank you Zach for your residency and the awesome review! We love the vibe on the Eastside. We will be promoting more of our local businesses throughout 2018. Can't wait to see you at more of our events!
submitted by Michael M. - |Recommended: YesGood apartment overall — The apartment itself and the amenities are nice, however it is a bit overpriced for the quality of the construction. Also changing management after a few months of living here has been annoying. The communication of the transition has been inadequate.
response from property -Hi Michael! I am disappointed to hear that we have not provided an exceptional living experience. Matrix Residential purchased the community on October 27th and we have had some small set backs on software access and integrations but we are now fully up and running. Now that we have the tools to provide better communication, you will see a difference. We hope to see you at our next resident event this Thursday evening.

I can tell she takes pride in her work is willing to go above and beyond to make a difference in this community for the better

submitted by Gina G. - |Recommended: NoGreat place terrible management — I love our apartment, the layout, the fixtures, the look and would love to stay but the cockroach problem is so terrible that I honestly have trouble sleeping at night. We have made management aware of the problem since our first week of living here and nothing has been done. Not to mention the lack of repercussion for violations have led to dirty disrespectful tenants that ruin everyone else's experience.
response from property -Hi Gina. I am sorry to hear that you are having issues with your home. I would like to make myself available to meet with you to address these concerns. You may reach me at 512-482-8002 or email cdeastside@matrixresidential.com. I look forward to speaking with you.
submitted by Jakob W. - |Recommended: YesGreat place — I would definitely recommend a friend to live here. However, something should be done about the floors and hallways- they look bare and are not appealing if even slightly dirty since there is nothing to distract the eye. Love the artwork on specific parts of the building, would be great to see more around the hallways. Haven't met the new management staff but I am sure they are great last management team was excellent
response from property -Thank you for great review! I agree with you regarding our bare hallways. We have received approval today to upgrade the hallways with sun-decking and additional murals that will be added to each floor. We will keep everyone updated with more details on these additions next month. Thank you for choosing Eastside Station as your home!
